Commonplace is a monthly subscription for people who love books, poetry, walking, conversation and the simple pleasure of something arriving through the letterbox. Every month, you’ll receive a carefully chosen book alongside a poem or ballad, typed individually and posted to you.
It’s an invitation to step away from the endless scroll and make a little more room for reading, noticing and paying attention. Alongside your monthly book and poem, you’ll receive The Monday Post every week, walking and conversational guides, and £50 off any Society of Poets retreat.

Every poem or ballad you receive is typed out here, one at a time, on a beautiful machine older than I am.
It means yours is not quite like anyone else's. The lines sit differently. The ink is heavier in some places than others. Where I have struck a letter through, it stays struck through, because taking it out would make it a printout of a typed poem rather than a typed poem.
By taking time, giving attention, being slow and intentional, I hope that this translates to you, in the way you receive it and live with it.
